CHANGING LANES

In search for true democracy, the first steps forward the inauguration of political parties in Maldives is not a long lasting story. It has been allowed in the constitution few years ago, but with a little knowlegde of what it is like in the population. The election commissionairs office issued few broucheures giving details of what a political party is and how it would act. This practice does not take place outside the capital (Male’) wide enough to cover a major population. And also there are some confusing issues in the constitution about allowing political parties in the Maldives.

It’s been years and yet the Peoples Majlis (also known as lower congress) is not able to issue bills and process them in the main constitution in the concerns of the entire Maldivian population. Why…? The question has been asked several times. Some politicians in Maldives says that “in the congress, it is controlled by the governing party called DRP and is the party of the current president. If he is ruling a party and is controlling the Majlis by including 1/3 of Majlis as Presidents members excluding the members elected in the Majlis by the representing atoll people how can the opposition parties can progress in processing bills?”.

It’s is true… or it is false….! I cannot come up with a decission by saying either removing the un-elected members or keeping them in the Majlis. My only concern is the un-accounted concerns of the peoples needs and wants….. A reform or an election…!!???!!!? It is none of my business…. We need them to work in favour of the entire population of Maldives. Not for the purpose of wearing coats and sitting in the majlis to sleep. OPEN YOUR EYS, AND LOOK IN TO THE SOCIETY IN THE EYES OF A PERSON LIVING IN MALE’ WITH A BASIC SALARY LESS THAN 3000.00 MRf. That’s it all about.

އެއަރ ޓެކްސީގެ ކްރޫއިން ހަޅުތާލެއް ފަށައިފި

ރާއްޖޭގެ އެންމެ ބޮޑު ކަނޑަށް ޖައްސާ މަތިންދާ ބޯޓް އޮޕަރޭޓް ކުރާ ކުންފުނި ކަމުގައިވާ މޯލްޑިވިއަން އެއަރ ޓެކްސީގެ މުވައްޒަފުން މިއަދު ހަޅުތާލެއް ފަށައިފިއެވެ.  މި ހަޅުތާލު ފަށާފައިވަނީ އެއަރ ޓެކްސީގައި މަސައްކަތްކުރާ ކެބިން ކްރޫއިން އެމީހުންގެ ކޮއްތު ފައިސާގެ އެލަވަންސް ބޮޑުކުރުމަށް އެދި އިޙްތިޖާޖް ކުރަމުންނެވެ.  މި މައްސަލަ ދިމާވުމާއި ގުޅިގެން އެއަރ ޓެކްސީއިން ވަނީ އެ ކުންފުނީގެ ދަތުރުތައް ހުއްޓުމަކަށް ގެނައުމުގެ ބަދަލުގައި ވާދަވެރި ޓީ.އެމް.އޭގެ މުވައްޒަފުން ބޭނުންކޮށްގެން އެއަރ ޓެކްސީގެ ދަތުރުތައް ކޮށްދޭން ފަށާފައެވެ. އިތުރު ތަފްޞީލް

ޓެކްސީ ޑްރައިވަރުން ކުރަމުން ގެންދާ ހަޅުތާލު ދެވަނަ ދުވަހަކަށް

އިއްޔެ ހެނދުނު މާލޭގައި ޓެކްސީ ދުއްވާ ފަރާތްތަކުން ކުރަން ފެށި ހަޅުތާލު ދެވަނަ ދުވަހަކަށް ދިގު ދެމިގެން ހިގައްޖެއެވެ. ޓެކްސީ ދުއްވާ މީހުން ހަމަޖެހުމެއް ނުހިންގާ ކުރިއަށް ގެންދާ މި ހަޅުތާލާއި ގުޅިގެން ދަތުރުފަތުރުގެ މައްސަލަ ޙައްލުކުރުމަށްޓަކައި ސަރުކާރުން ވަނީ ދަތުރުފަތުރުގެ ޚިދުމަތަށް، ސަރުކާރާއި ރައްޔިތުން ޙިއްސާވާ ކުންފުނި އެމް.ޓީ.ސީ.ސީ އަށް ވަގުތީ ގޮތުން  އެއްގަމުގެ ދަތުރު ފަތުރުކުރުމުގެ ހުއްދަ ދެއްވާފައެވެ. މިގޮތުން މިއަދު މެންދުރުކުރި 11:00 އިން ފެށިގެން އެމް.ޓީ.ސީ.ސީއިން ވަނީ ދަތުރުފަތުރުގެ ޚިދުމަތަށް އެ ކުންފުނީގައި ބޭނުންކުރާ ބައެއް ވެހިކަލްތަކާއި އެހެނިހެން ކުންފުނި ތަކުގެ ބައެއް ވެހިކަލްތައް ވެސް ބޭނުންކުރަން ފަށާފައެވެ. އެމް.ޓީ.ސީ.ސީގެ އިސް ބޭފުޅަކު މިއަދު ޓީ.ވީ މޯލްޑިވްސްއަށް ދިން ބަސްދީގަތުމެއްގައި މި ދަތުރުފަތުރުގެ ޚިދުމަތާއި ބެހޭގޮތުން ދެންނެވީ ” މިޚިދުމަތް ފޯރުކޮށް ދިނުމުގައި ވަކިކަހަލަ ދަތުރުތަކަކަށް އިސްކަން ދެއްވާނެ ކަމަށާއި ކޮންމެ ކޮންމެ ދަތުރެއް މިވެހިކަލް ތަކުގައި ނުކުރެވޭނެ ކަމަށެވެ.  މިގޮތުން މުސްކުޅިވެ ޙާލުދެރަވެފައިވާ މީހުންގެ ބަލި ޙާލަތުގެ ސަބަބުން އެފަދަ މީހުން ސިއްޙީ ފަރުވާ ހޯދަން ގެންދިއުމާއި، ސްކޫލްތަކަށް ކުދިން ގެންދިއުން ފަދަ  ދަތުރުތަކުގެ އިތުރުން  ވައިގެ މަގުން ދަތުރުކުރާ މީހުން ހުޅުލެއަށް ދިއުން ފަދަ ދަތުރުތައް މި ޚިދުމަތުގެ އެހީގައި ކޮށް ދެވޭނެ ކަމަށްވެސް ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ނަމަވެސް މިއީ ވަގުތީ ގޮތުން ދެވޭ ޚިދުމަތަކަށްވާތީ ހުރިހާ ފަރާތެއްގެ އެއްބާރުލުން މިކަމަށް ދިނުމަށް”ވެސް އޭނާ އިލްތިމާސްކުރެއްވިއެވެ.  ޓެކްސީ ޑްރައިވަރުންގެ މިހަޅުތާލާއި ގުޅިގެން ރާއްޖެއަށް ތެޔޮ އެތެރެކުރާ އެންމެ ބޮޑު ކުންފުނި އެސް.ޓީ.އޯ އިން މީޑިއާއަށް ދިން ނޫސްވެރިންގެ ބައްދަލުވުމެއްގައި ޑްރައިވަރުން ހަޅުތާލުކުރި ކަމުގައި ވިޔަސް %3 ގެ ފައިދާއެއް ލާފައި ވިއްކަމުން ގެންދާ ތެލުގެ ބާވަތްތަކުގެ އަގަށް އެއްވެސް ބަދަލެއް ނުގެނެވޭނެ ކަމަށާއި ސަރުކާރުން މިކަމުގެ ޙައްލެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ސަބްސިޑީއެއް ދިން ނަމަވެސް މިކަމާއި މެދު އިތުރު ވިސްނުންތަކެއް ނުގެންގުޅުއްވާ ކަމުގައި ވަނީ  ވިދާޅުވެފައެވެ. ޓެކްސީ ޑްރައިވަރުން އެމީހުން ދުއްވާ ކާރުތަކުގައާއި ލޮރީފަދަ ތަކެތީގައި ހަރުކޮށްފައިވާ ލިޔުންތަކުގައި “ނިކަމެތިންވެސް ދަތުރު ފަތުރުކުރޭ” އަދި “ބޭނުންވަނީ ހަކަތައިގެ ހުރިހާ ބާވަތެއްގެ އަގު ހެޔޮކުރުން” ކަމުގައިވެސް އިޙްތިޖާޖްކޮށް ފައިވެއެވެ.  މިކަމާއި ގުޅިގެން ޓްރާންސްޕޯރޓް މިނިސްޓްރީއިން މިއަދު ނެރުނު ބަޔާނެއްގައި ޓެކްސީ ޑްރައިވަރުންގެ މި ހަޅުތާލާއި ގުޅިގެން ކަންބޮޑުވުން ފާޅުކޮށްފައިވެއެވެ
